IS IT TIME TO BUY YET IN THE BIRMINGHAM AREA?

Some people can't help but generalize and make fools of themselves!

Just last week  Jim Cramer, a cable TV commentator appeared on the Today show and told the world that it is a bad time to buy a house. He said if you do you will lose money.

I DISAGREE with his statements. If that were true, do you think people would be out in the market right now buying investment properties. I purchased my first home over 40 years ago and I still own it today. That home has been rented out for the last 38 years and has increase in value 12 fold. Besides the fact that it has paid for itself it has help me buy several other investment properties and pay for my children’s college educations. Let me give you another example. I just helped a young couple buy a lake access home that a couple of years ago would have costs them at least 1/3 more. Even when you have to take a small lose on the home your selling, that loss doesn’t compare to the money you are saving on the new home you are buying.

Like the song by Shania Twain says:

If you’re not In it for love
If you’re not willin’ to give it all you got
If you’re not in it for life
If you’re not in it for love
I’m outta here

If you’re not in it for Love (of growing your net worth), If you’re not willin’ to give it all you got (time and energy), If your not in it for Life (the long hall of seeing good returns), I am outta of here (And you should be too.) But if you’re willin’ to give it all you got, you could end up very well off. Good sense says don’t generalize or listen to those that do.
